With the Academy Awards drawing ever closer, we took a few minutes to round up our favorite Oscar-winning romances. Whether dramatic, comedic or just plain neurotic (we're looking at you, Annie Hall), these are the films that give make us want to turn to that someone special and say, "I love you."

1. My Cousin Vinny – Best Actress (Marissa Tomei).
While not a traditional rom com, the romance between Marisa Tomei (who won the Oscar for a good reason) and Joe Pesci's Lisa and Vinny is too cute to keep them off the list.

2. Annie Hall – Best Picture, Best Actress (Diane Keaton), Best Director, Best Original Screenplay.
Showcasing the epitome of neurotic love, the tale of Alvy and Annie is a classic for many reasons. It made our list because of the constant struggle Alvy goes through to understand the nature of love.

3. Forrest Gump – Best Picture, Best Actor (Tom Hanks), Best Film Editing, Best Director, Best Visual Effects, Best Adapted Screenplay.
This epic journey through American history, seen through the eyes of one man, swept the Oscars for a reason (actually, six reasons. See above). The love story of Forrest and Jenny is one of the most unique and dear in cinema.

4. Moonstruck – Best Actress (Cher), Best Supporting Actress (Olympia Dukakis), Best Original Screenplay
Stuck between the man she is engaged to and the man she loves (who just happens to be her fiancée's brother) Cher's Loretta has to choose between safety and passion. This film will give even the crabbiest of movie-goers a case of the warm-and-fuzzies.

5. An Officer and a Gentleman – Best Supporting Actor (Louis Gossett, Jr.).
For those of you who haven't seen this 1982 hit, stop what you're doing and watch. It. Now. This fantastic film about a Navy pilot hopeful and the woman and drill sergeant who each put him on a better path has everything you could want: snark, sex and salvation.

6. Slumdog Millionaire – Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Original Score, Best Original Song (Jai Ho), Best Sound Mixing.
In this story of adversity and perseverance, the love of Jamal and Latika has to overcome pretty much every obstacle under the sun. But they manage to remain connected across distance and time, eventually getting their reward.

7. The Sound of Music – Best Picture, Best Director, Best Sound Mixing, Best Editing.
Okay, who doesn't love The Sound of Music? There's something for everyone. Singing, frolicking, a sweeping love story…and goats. The love between a tightly wound Captain and a free-spirited young nun is guaranteed to warm even the coldest heart. 

8. Crazy Heart – Best Actor (Jeff Bridges), Best Original Song (The Weary Kind).

This tender, heartbreaking story of love, loss and redemption will tug at the heart strings…and kind of make you want to become a country music singer.

9. Good Will Hunting – Best Supporting Actor (Robin Williams), Best Original Screenplay.

In this worldwide hit, the eponymous Will Hunting has to conquer the demons of his past to find love with the intelligent and captivating Skylar. It's no easy road, but with the help of a therapist and the encouragement of his friends, Will eventually finds his way to a happier life and love.

10. A Fish Called Wanda – Best Supporting Actor (Kevin Kline)
A romance, a jewel heist, and Kevin Klein eating life goldfish. What more could you ask for? The surprising love that crops up through the course of the film shocks pretty much everybody, most of all the people in the relationship.
