According to a recent study, men on the shorter end of the height spectrum live longer. But, is there truth in the expression, "Good things come in small packages"?

We asked a few women to tell us what they learned from dating a shorter guy:

1. Shorter men put in more effort.

"You know how Chihuahuas bark harder? Well, shorter guys try harder in bed." — Lana, 35

"Oftentimes, shorter men have to work harder to win over a woman, so they're willing to put in extra effort!" — Alexandra, 35

2. They're more likely to lie about their height.

"I meet some really nice guys on dating sites and apps whose profiles say they're a fine height for me (around 5'7"). Then, I meet these guys and guess what? They are nowhere near 5'7"! Short guys lie about their height on dating sites, that's for sure. One guy even put 5'4" and I thought it was sweet that he was being honest. When I met him he wasn't even close to that. Don't get me wrong, short is OK, but don't lie about it!" — Catie, 26

3. Hugging and holding hands are easier.

"Dating a shorter guy feels more natural. I don't feel like a kid when we hold hands, like I did with those 6' guys I was used to dating. Having to actually hold my hand up in the air felt so stupid! When we first kissed, it felt so perfect ... there was none of that awkward having to get on my tippy toes." — Jennifer, 37

4. There are more short guys to go around.

"Shorter guys end up getting overlooked by a lot of women, so there are more good guys to choose from. Plus, I like to leave the tall guys for my tall friends as a courtesy." — Sara, 27

5. They don't mind joking around about it.

"I'm dating a guy who is 3 inches shorter than me. His height has become the hilarity of many of our jokes, but because he's so secure in himself, it proves no problem. It's definitely a choice you have to make when you begin dating — to own the difference, not shy away from it." — Carrie, 34

6. They can be more insecure.

"In high school, I dated a guy who was 5'6" and I noticed that he was really into manly things like working out and muscle cars, more so than his tall friends. He would even make his voice deeper when he was with other guys. I feel like shorter guys are more insecure because they can only date shorter girls." — Helena, 25

7. Your shoe options are limited.

"My first boyfriend was shorter, and I constantly worried about how we would look in photos and at dressy occasions that required heels. As a woman you feel sexiest in heels, so having to wear flats all the time was hard. I prefer dating taller men so I can wear anything and feel good!" — Allie, 26

"I've learned that amazing men come in small packages ... and bring the art of wearing flats to events with lots of picture-taking to avoid looking like Bigfoot." — Brianna, 25

8. They're more into PDA.

"In my experience, shorter guys tend to be really into PDA, but I honestly think it's to show that they're in control ... AND to compensate." — Pam, 26

9. You can't borrow their clothes.

"When I was in high school I was close to 5'8" and dated someone who was barely 5'2". I think the hardest part was that his clothes didn't fit the way boyfriend clothes should. When you think about putting on your boyfriend's sweatpants and sweatshirt, you think of a massive comfortable sweatshirt you can get lost in, but when I dated a shorter guy his clothes just downright didn't fit me." — Erin, 26

10. They can see up your nose.

"Two words: nose hair. Dating shorter guys means being horribly paranoid about nose hair." — Katherine, 46
