We understand that many people may be traveling to nearby communities to celebrate with family and friends, so we've put together a guide to all the best festivities and fireworks displays both near and far. Whether you are a local or just visiting, you're sure to find something exciting to do this Independence Day.

Celebrate Freedom & Family on Thursday, June 29th for a history lesson provided by Montgomery County Public Library.

Come out on Friday, June 30th and watch the 4th of July Fireworks display from the Paola Eagles.

Celebration at Bull Creek on Friday, June 30th with multiple bars and bands. This family friendly event will also feature a firework display!

Lights on the Lake is family-friendly event on Saturday, July 1st at Osawatomie City Lake. Tickets must be purchased online in advance for those 13 years of age and up. Your ticket gets you access to live entertainment, balloon artists, face painting, bounce houses, and the fireworks show. You may bring a cooler but there will also be food vendors on site. 

Baldwin City Golf Course is hosting an Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 1st. The event will have a kid's zone, food trucks, beer garden, live music from 2 national artists and of course - a fireworks display.

Summer Fest 2023 on Monday, July 3rd, begins at 4pm and features fireworks, live music and more!

Celebrate the 4th on the 3rd. Monday, July 3rd from 6-9pm enjoy kiddie pools, inflatable games, food trucks, corn hole, yard games, fireworks and more!

Community Picnic and Fireworks at Martin Creek Park in Edgerton will begin at 6pm on Monday, July 3rd. 

The Hiawatha Annual Fireworks display will begin at 8pm on Monday, July 3rd. 

Celebration Park will host Gardner's Annual Independence Day Festival on Tuesday, July 4th! This free, family-friendly event will feature various food vendors, inflatables and multiple country music artists.

Stilwell's 4th of July Parade starts at 6pm on Tuesday, July 4th. After the "Salute to Freedom" theme parade, stick around for fire trucks, food, candy, live music, games and a fireworks show!

Riverfest Park will be the site of the De Soto 4th of July Celebration. Tuesday, July 4th join us starting at 7pm. Feel free to explore the river, do some fishing, shop from local vendors, enjoy the live music and end the night with our fireworks display!

The Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and the City of Ottawa are hosting the city's Independence Day Celebration. This event will be held at Forest Park on Tuesday, July 4th with fireworks beginning at dusk!

On Friday, June 30th a join us at Stump Park in Shawnee for food trucks, music, fireworks and more!

Tuesday, July 4th come to Servaes Brewing Co. for their new beer releases, BBQ and kids trivia!

Mahaffies' Independence Day Celebration will be from 1-4pm on Saturday, July 1st.

Start your 4th of July Celebration at Beach Fest at Olathe Lake on Tuesday, July 4th. Admission includes a sack lunch, boat rental fee, aqua park use, activities, and more!

Celebrate from 2-7pm on Tuesday, July 4th at Stone Pillar Vineyard and Winery.

The Olathe Fireworks Show will begin around 9:45pm at the College Boulevard Activity Center on Tuesday, July 4th.
