Carson Wentz is back in the headlines again after donning the hunter’s hat. The free agent quarterback recently took down a black Bear in Alaska with his bow and arrow. Moreover, the QB even posed alongside the dead animal and uploaded the picture on his Instagram account with caption, “Bucket list..Got the opportunity to spot and stalk black bear in one of our new favorite places on earth. Alaska!”

As one can expect, a lot of people were left fuming by Wentz’s post. In fact, agitated fans also stated that it isn’t surprising to see Carson engage in such a “ruthless and selfish” act as he is someone who, five years ago, got frustrated with his own team’s success, as they were winning without him.

Since his pre-injury heroics in the 2018 season, Carson has largely struggled to get going. He has been regularly marred by injuries and his performances have been below-par which is why, the free agent is probably not on any team’s radar at the moment. Amidst all this, Carson’s Bear slaying action has again turned a large chunk of football fans against him.

While it is important to note that Wentz didn’t commit any crime, his actions didn’t go down with several animal lovers. Several of them wasted no time in terming him a selfish individual, while reminding everyone about his heated altercation with own teammate which transpired during Eagles’ 2017 Super Bowl run.

As per Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane, things went a little out of hands when Carson expressed his frustration with the Eagles continuously winning without him during the 2017 season’s final phase. That’s when another one of Eagles’ injured player confronted Carson for being selfish. Eventually, the two had to be separated by other players who saw everything unfold.

When Carson Wentz first burst on to the scene, fans were left shell-shocked by his ability to make plays at crucial junctures. He broke several records in his rookie season, and then played a crucial role in helping the Eagles win their first ever Super Bowl title(other 3 title wins came before Super Bowl era). However, Wentz got injured in the week 14 game against the Rams and the spotlight shifted towards Nick Foles.

The fact that the Eagles kept on winning under newbie Foles seemingly enraged Carson, and eventually resulted in an ugly in-team altercation. Later on, Darren Sproles, the teammate who stood up to Carson’s outburst, revealed on Up & Adams show that his intention was only to make the QB realize that he needs to be a good team player.

“We had some words, but it wasn’t as big as what everybody was saying,” Sproles told Adams, probably downplaying the incident. “I had to make him realize that you gotta be happy for the team. We’re all mad that we’re not playing; we’re all hurt, but you still gotta be happy for the team. He was walking around quiet, but after that conversation, that all kinda changed,” he had added.
