Ron Simmons, known to many in the wrestling world as Faarooq, left an indelible mark on the history of the sport. He was considered one of the toughest wrestlers of his generation and his career made him a legendary figure.

However, a startling revelation recently surfaced about a confrontation between Simmons and his former rival, Ahmed Johnson.

Johnson, who also had a high-profile stint in WWE, shared in a recent interview a dark secret about his relationship with Simmons.

According to Johnson, during an altercation between the two wrestlers, Simmons kicked him in the kidneys and tried to hurt him on purpose.

"Faarooq kicked me in it [kidneys] when he came down," Johnson said.

"The very first introduction to Faarooq, him and Sunny, I fell out the ring and he came rushing down.

"I am trusting this dude, so I open my body up to him. The old veteran. And, brother, he laid a kick there that you wouldn't soon forget."

The rivalry between the two subsided

Johnson soon got his revenge, and admitted he deliberately hurt Simmons at WrestleMania 13 in a street-style fight.

"That's why I took him through that table the way I did, and it broke his ribs and punctured his lung," said Johnson.

"So we kinda settled down from there. Once I got my payback, we kinda settled down."
