Alice Faye Alston – Metropolitan Funeral
Mia Lopez Alice Faye Alston daughter of the late John and Emma Barnes was born on September 26, 1951 in Pembroke, North Carolina.
Alice was married to the late Douglas Williams Sr. where they had 2 sons Douglas Williams Jr. and Dujuan Williams. She later married George Alston.
She attended Dundalk High school and college. She was a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women and enjoyed the deaf ministry. She was a member of Mount Lebanon where she served as a greeter. She worked 38 years for the Social Security Administration.
She accepted Christ into her life at a young age. She felt her best contributions were the birth of her sons Douglas and Dujuan Williams her true special gifts from God. Her grandchildren Jackson, Kerrigan, Davion, and Shaianne brought her great joy.
She was proceeded by her parents John and Emma Barnes, Brother Thomas Barnes, 2 sisters Linda Roane, Evelyn Lawrence and close friend Lucille Campbell.
She is survived by 2 sons Douglas and Dujuan Williams. Daughter- in- law Lisa Williams, grandchildren Jackson, Kerrigan, Davion, and Shaianne. Two sisters Patricia Ann Bullock and Marie Armstrong (Roy). She had a host of nieces and nephews. Close friends were Michael Green, Gloria Wright, Cynthia McMillion, Mary Golden, Camilla Davis, and Ilynna Edwards. Her goals in life were to be a good wife, good mother, good friend and good servant. She is thankful for you all.
