Details of Crabbe's Offer Sheet Revealed

Crabbe has signed a four-year, $75 million offer sheet from the Nets, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical. The Portland Trail Blazers have three days to match the Nets' offer. There is "skepticism" that Portland will match the offer, according to USA Today's Sam Amick. 

The Nets have "promised" Crabbe a position in their starting lineup, according to Jason Quick of CSN Northwest, who added the shooting guard would not want to be in Portland if forced to come off the bench. 

Blazers Interested in Retaining Crabbe

Calkins Media's Tom Moore, citing an NBA source, reported fans shouldn't be surprised if the Portland Trail Blazers match an offer sheet for Crabbe despite Evan Turner's reported signing because owner Paul Allen won't be stopped by the luxury tax.

Wojnarowski reported Friday that Turner and the Blazers agreed to a four-year, $70 million contract.

Crabbe is a restricted free agent, so the Trail Blazers will have three days to match any offer sheet he signs. Crabbe should get paid a hefty sum under the rising cap—whether it's by the Blazers or a team willing to shell out more than Portland is comfortable with.

76ers Out on Crabbe

Moore, citing an NBA source, reported the Philadelphia 76ers won't sign Crabbe to a four-year offer sheet.

ESPN.com's Ian Begley, citing sources, reported on June 28 that the Philadelphia 76ers were interested in Crabbe.

Crabbe Developed into Dependable Role Player

After appearing in 66 games total during his first two NBA seasons, Crabbe averaged a career-best 10.8 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.8 steals while shooting 45.9 percent from the field and 39.3 percent from three over the course of 81 regular-season appearances.

"My first two years it was just trying to figure out a lot of things," Crabbe said during exit interviews, according to the Oregonian's Sean Meagher. "Where can I be successful? How can I make an impact on the court for this basketball team? How can I contribute in other ways than just scoring?—and as the games went on and the season went along I feel like I continued to grow in a lot of areas."

While he may not be a household name just yet, Crabbe already ranks among the league's top three-point shooters. Beyond canning 39.3 percent of his total looks, Crabbe drilled 43 percent of his corner threes—shots that accounted for 30.2 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc.

Furthermore, Crabbe converted 41.9 percent of all catch-and-shoot three-point shots a season ago, according to SportVU player-tracking data provided to NBA.com.

Finally, Crabbe scored an outrageous 1.19 points per possession on spot-up shots during the 2015-16 campaign, per Synergy Sports data. Not only did that tally rank in the 93.7th percentile, but it was better than the marks posted by Klay Thompson, Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant, among others.
