Mia Lopez Personal Statement
My name is Amber Rowoldt, I am a sophomore at Lakeside Lutheran High School in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. I am an outside hitter for my high school and club volleyball team and it is my goal to play collegiate level volleyball.
I have been a part of Lakeside Lutheran's Varsity Volleyball for two years. As a freshman, I played front row as an outside hitter and was awarded 1st Team All-Conference. This past season, I was floor captain and played middle back and the outside hitter position. I was also honored to be a captain and after the season my team voted me as MVP. I was awarded 1st Team All-Conference, 2nd Team All-Area, and Honorable Mention All-State. We held an 11-2 record this year to receive the Capitol North Conference Championship title.
I am a member of the Wisconsin Select Volleyball Club's 17s team where I play all around as an outside hitter and left back. Playing middle back for my high school season and left back for my club team really gives me the diversity to play anywhere in the back row and the ability to know how to read the opposite side of the court.I am a loud and positive player that strives to do my best in every game and every practice. I show great sportsmanship and always work my hardest to overcome any obstacle put in my way. I strive to do better in my skills and work on improving them every chance I have.
I am looking into the field of Sports Management or Human Resources. I am also open to looking into other majors. Volleyball is a big part of my life and I hope it continues to be as I go on to college.
