A judge has denied Andrea Sneiderman's request for a new trial.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – A judge has denied Andrea Sneiderman's request for a new trial.

In August 2013, Sneiderman was convicted of perjury and hindering the investigation into her husband Rusty's murder.

Hemy Neuman was found guilty but mentally ill in the November 2010 shooting death of Rusty Sneiderman outside of a Dunwoody daycare. He was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole.

Prosecutors charged Andrea Sneiderman, Neuman's boss at GE, for allegedly lying about an affair with Neuman and making false statements she gave to police. Neuman has also argued for a new trial.

Sneiderman has denied having an affair with Neuman. She was convicted and sentenced to five years behind bars. She served just 22 months.

Earlier this month, attorneys for Sneiderman asked the same judge who oversaw her conviction to throw it out and let her try her case again with a second jury.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Gregory A. Adams said that the verdict of the trial "was not contrary to the evidence or the principles of justice and equity" and denied the motion for a new trial.
