Arnold Schwarzenegger’s wife, Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger are divorced after decades of marriage. News headlines and websites were posted on this topic as the famous Mr. Olympia, and the former Governor of California is separated from his wife. 

Reports came out that Maria filed the divorce petition in 2011. When Arnold came down from the position of Governor of California, the Los Angeles Times first revealed that Arnold was hiding a secret son. 

It was reported that this boy’s name was Joseph, who Arnold shares with household staffer Mildred Patricia Baena. Other things revealed that Joseph was born one week after Maria gave birth to Arnold’s fifth son, Christopher, in 1997. 

Arnold told Times, “After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago.”

He added, “I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children, and my family. I am truly sorry.”

Maria Shriver is an American journalist, author, member of the Kennedy family, ex-First Lady of California, and the founder of the non-profit organization The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement. 

She was born on November 6, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Robert Sargent Shriver and activist Eunice Kennedy Shriver. 

In 1970, the Shriver family returned from France to Bethesda, Maryland, USA, and attended the Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart high school. After graduating from high school in 1973, she attended Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York. 

She studied in Purchase for two years and then moved to Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She secured a Bachelor of Arts degree in American studies graduating in June 1977.

He said, “I actually started weight training when I was 15, but I’d been participating in sports, like soccer, for years, so I felt that although I was slim, I was well-developed, at least enough so that I could start going to the gym and start Olympic lifting.”

He trained for two years straight and gained some muscles, after which he started competing in competition shows. He gave a speech in 2001 where he said, “My own plan formed when I was 14 years old. My father had wanted me to be a police officer like he was. My mother wanted me to go to trade school.”

Later, he competed in many competitions and finalized his IFBB pro-Mr Olympia show. He won the Olympia title for bodybuilding seven times, making a record at the time.
