Ashley Whitley's Softball Recruiting Profile
Sophia Edwards Personal Statement
During my two years of high school I learned how important it is to focus on my contribution towards the team rather than focusing on what somebody else did wrong and how they cost us the game. The best thing I can do is make myself better. I am part of an amazing softball and basketball program that in the past two years we have made it to the sweet sixteen and made history. I know that doesn't sound like much but that gave our team a lot of faith and it was an eye opener knowing how close we were to the championship.
I have learned the values of teamwork, loyalty, leadership, and especially commitment. I've wanted to play college ball ever since I was able to run the bases. My brother was looking at playing college ball when he graduated and that made me wonder if one day that would be me. So I started looking more into my future like my major, school, and whether I would play ball or not. As an athlete that plays three sports, leadership comes easy. I hope to play softball at a college that meets my academic needs (major) and that would let me be a part of their softball team.
