Personal Statement

I have a number of qualities that I believe make me a standout recruit.  First, I am a naturally quiet and thoughtful person.  I am not the loudest player on my team, but I do think about situations and how to best deal with them.  

Second, I have a "team first, player second" attitude.  I know that player statistics matter, but I also know that basketball is a team sport and should be played that way.  I often look at situations in the game and decide to pass to a teammate rather than shoot, or voluntarily set a pick so a teammate can drive it in and get a layup.  I understand that the team wins, not a player.  

Finally, I am a hard worker; not just in basketball, but in school too. I know that good results come only from hard work.
