Ava Fiacable's Women's Volleyball Recruiting Profile
David Craig Personal Statement
I love volleyball, I love competing, I love to win.
All my cousins are over 6 feet tall and played college football. While not gifted with height, I was blessed with althletic ability. My strengths are speed, quickness, work ethic, and leadership. On the court I am focused to win, but I understand how to keep my teammates relaxed and focused to play their best. When I ask my coaches what my best strength is, they say I am the glue. The glue that brings the team together. My current coach says it’s a game changer.
Regarding academics, I was diagnosed with dyslexia at an early age. My parents got me the help I needed. I fought my way back into a Catholic elementary school and high school. It motivates me to work harder when people don’t think I am smart because of the dyslexia. I will work harder than anyone whether it’s on or off the court. Last year I made the Head Master Gold Honor Role (the highest one at my school).
With the age change in club volleyball, the last several years I have had to compete with girls a grade older than me. I was able to make those teams and was able to earn the libero spot.
