David Craig In the world of reality TV, it’s often common for show contestants to already have some kind of claim to fame or celebrity relative. Christina Mandrell of The Bachelor season 27 has a famous mom and now, Maria Georgas of this year’s show also has Hollywood ties.
Fans are taking to X (Twitter) in full force during The Bachelor season 28 with many convinced they’ve seen Maria somewhere before. She’s not the child of a famous singer like Christina from Zach Shallcross‘ season, but she starred in a movie alongside one of the world’s most famous actors.
Meet The Bachelor’s Maria Georgas
With The Bachelor fully underway, Joey has met all of his potential future partners on the show including Lea Cayanan, who got his First Impression Rose.
Maria Georgas stepped out onto the Bachelor set waving a blurred-out Canadian flag during the show’s premiere on January 22.
The 29-year-old oozed confidence as she waltzed towards Joey Graziadei wearing a floor-length dress.
She works as an Executive Assistant and hails from Kleinburg, Ontario, Canada.
Maria’s been single five years
Speaking in a confessional on The Bachelor, Maria explained how “over” casual dating she is.
The ABC star has been single five years, and now she’s ready to find the real deal.
Her parents split when she was a child, which Maria says affects her relationships, adding she “tends to push people away.”
Her father said she has to “go with her heart,” during her time on the reality TV show.

The Bachelor star’s claim to fame
As the “games begin” on The Bachelor, Maria has ABC viewers convinced they’ve seen her somewhere before.
One person tweeted: “What’s with Maria? I have seen her before and I don’t know where or when. Like a model or actress…”
And it turns out they’re not wrong, as she once starred in a 2005 movie called The Pacifier featuring Vin Diesel.
The Bachelor 28 contestant took to Instagram many years ago to share a snap from the scene she stars in alongside the Hollywood actor.
She wrote “TBT” on the post which sees her looking across as Vin Diesel.
On IMDb, Maria is listed as “Firefly #1” in the show’s cast list.
Maria also shared another post wishing “both her dads” a Happy Father’s Day in 2016. The snap shows her father posing next to Vin Diesel.
