Baker Mayfield and his wife, Emily Wilkinson, recently attended a faith-based marriage conference with other NFL couples and experienced what Emily called a "reset" in their relationship. The conference they attended was the 2023 The Increase conference with Pro Athletes Outreach (PAO), an organization whose goal is to bring pro athletes and couples together to grow as disciples of Jesus and positively impact their spheres of influence.

Emily shared her experience on Instagram, saying, "It is so fulfilling, and such a nice reset in our marriage, not to mention a perfect time to connect with other like-minded couples in the NFL."

PAO aims to foster discipleship in the form of yearly conferences, seasonal bible studies, women's gatherings, and local events, to help pro athletes pursue a life that looks more like Jesus. The organization welcomes pro athletes who are single, dating, or married, and Mayfield and Wilkinson have made it a priority to attend the conference every year.

Emily also recommended the conference to other NFL, MLB, and NHL couples, saying, "It's the best thing you'll ever do for your marriage."

Rams want to re-sign Baker Mayfield

While Emily did not share photos of the couple at the event, she did post a picture of a beach setting near the ocean, which could be where the conference took place.

Mayfield, who is set to become a free agent, had a successful debut with the Rams in a comeback win over the Raiders on "Thursday Night Football" in December, which included a 98-yard game-winning drive.

The Rams, 49ers, and Buccaneers have all reportedly expressed interest in signing Mayfield, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft.

Mayfield's attendance at the faith-based conference highlights the importance of maintaining a healthy relationship and finding balance between professional and personal life.
