TEMPO.CO, Bandung - Bandung Film Festival returns Saturday, September 12, in an awarding night for Indonesian films at Perjuangan Rakyat Jawa Barat Monument, Bandung. The event kicks start at 19.00 and will be broadcasted live.

The 28th film festival has collected 11 nomination categories for big screen movies, 3 nomination categories for serials, and 5 nominations for television films.

“There are two actors and actress who will be awarded with Lifetime Achievement award. They have contributed for Indonesian films since 1970s and 1980s,” said Rosyid E. Abby, a film observer from Bandung Film Forum on Saturday.

According to Rosyid, there five films that have big chance to win best picture award including ‘2014: Who is Above the President’, ‘Guru Bangsa Tjokroaminoto;, ‘Toba Dreams’, ‘Pendekar Tongkat Emas’, and ‘Surga yang tak Dirindukan’.

“The nominated films talk about Indonesia,” Rosyid added.
