A notebook containing sheet music written by Ludwig van Beethoven was found in the apartment of a Greenwich, Connecticut, woman, according to Greenwich Time. The pages, described as being “ferociously dotted with German words, directions, and symbols that practically flew off the pages with manic intensity,” were appraised and authenticated. The book was penned by the famed composer in 1810, when he was 40 and beginning work on a “rush job” known as “King Stephen.” The notes were sold for $100,000, which really isn’t that much when you consider the fact that a) The notes are 205 years old, which is pretty old, and b) They were written by Beethoven, who is pretty famous. His music can even make the Nic Cage Wicker Man remake tolerable.
