Ben Doak signs new long-term Liverpool contract
Andrew Mckinney Ben Doak has signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool.
Doak joined Liverpool from Celtic for a compensation fee of around £600,000 in March 2022, signing his first professional contract at the Premier League club when he turned 17 in November that year.
The winger made his Liverpool debut just a few days before signing that contract, appearing as a substitute in a Carabao Cup tie against Derby County.

Doak featured mainly in Liverpool’s youth teams last season but made five first-team appearances across all competitions, including two in the Premier League.
The Scotland Under-21 international was heavily involved in Liverpool’s pre-season and featured off the bench in the opening-day 1-1 draw against Chelsea. He has not played since then.
Doak was included in Liverpool’s Europa League squad — something the Merseyside club had to do as he has not been there long enough yet to qualify as a club-trained under-21 player.
Liverpool begin their Europa League campaign on Thursday with a trip to Austrian side LASK.

Doak’s new deal — analysed
This new contract on improved terms is reward for Doak’s outstanding development since he arrived from Celtic just over a year ago.
The fearless teenage winger has impressed staff and senior players alike with his attitude and work ethic as well as his talent since he was promoted to the first-team squad last season having initially made the leap from the under-18s to the under-21s.
Doak really caught the eye for Jurgen Klopp’s side in pre-season and the Europa League campaign is set to provide him with further opportunities to really showcase his ability.
He’s learning from the best around in Mohamed Salah and he believes he’s in the best possible environment to fulfill his rich potential.
