Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Brandon Monk and i am a 6'5 senior at Southwest High School (Jacksonville, NC). I am a student-athlete who loves the game of basketball who feels he can compete at the collegiate level at both foward positions and maybe even center, with a little more help. This season as of January 7th, 2012, i am averaging 16 points per game and 10 rebounds per game. During my high school career i have accomplished awards such as All-Conference, First Team All-Area, and won the MVP of the Onslow County Christmas Tournament after recording 18 points and 18 rebounds in the championship game. As far as playing basketball at the next level, i am very open-minded. I am just a player who loves the game and wants to improve his talent and play another 4 years.
