Brian Walshe’s children’s future is unpredictable as the investigators accused the father of killing Ana Walshe, the children of the mother.
As investigators work to discover what happened to Ana, there are concerns about what will happen to her three young children.
Many people find it terrible to think about Ana’s three little sons, aged 6, 4, and 2, who are left without a mother while their father is accused of killing her as the authorities believe she has passed away.
As the trial of their father, Brian Walshe, continues, many residents of Cohasset are worried about the whereabouts of Brian Walshe’s children.
Brian Dougherty, a resident of Cohasset, stated that it was a shame for the children. He believed they were the actual victims beyond Ana, and unfortunately.
According to Dougherty, the community hopes a local leader would step forward and keep the youngsters together.
The three Walshe youngsters are still in DCF’s custody as of right now.
Although attorney Jason Owens is not connected to the Walshe case, he has extensive knowledge of DCF-related issues.
“We are still trying to figure out exactly what is going on with their parents,” said Owens. “But what we know is that this seems like a really heartbreaking situation for the children.”
Before selecting where to keep the three boys, the state will likely take its time, according to Owens. That’s partly because of how quickly things have changed in the hunt for their missing mother.
“It may be possible that the department views place the children with someone with experience in traumatic situations as preferable, in a very fluid situation, as opposed to either kin or child specific foster parents,” Owens said.
Brian Walshe was accused of killing his wife
After the officials discovered the evidence on Tuesday, Brian Walshe pressed charges against the murder of his wife and the mother of his three children, Ana.
A prosecutor testified at Brian Walshe’s arraignment on murder and other charges that Walshe used his son’s iPad to research how to dismember and dispose of a body.
Walshe is the husband of a Massachusetts woman, Ana, who has been missing since New Year’s Day.
According to prosecutor Lynn Beland, 39-year-old Ana Walshe’s clothes and other possessions containing her DNA were discovered at a waste processing plant.
Walshe, 47, filed not guilty pleas on Wednesday and was remanded in custody by the Quincy District Court.
He remained still while Beland outlined the state’s case and said nothing other than “I do” in response to the judge’s question about whether he understood the allegations.
Walshe had already entered a not guilty plea to deceiving detectives looking for Ana Walshe, whose body has not yet been found, and was being jailed on a $500,000 bail.
