The horrific death of Brianna Lopez, an infant kid, shocked the entire community and left many questions unanswered. 

Brianna Mariah Lopez was born on February 14, 2002, to Stephanie Lopez and Andy Walters. She was commonly referred to as “Baby Brianna.” 

She moved into a house along with her parents and Uncle Steven Lopez in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

The grown-ups were not too much happy about the birth of Brianna and hence, started abusing her immediately. 

Stephanie would bite Brianna, punch her if she cried, and even slap her. She would watch as Andy and his brother Steven beat Briana most of the time.

Both males kicked, punched, threw, and pinched Brianna when she was only a few weeks old. The infant also endured horrendous r*pe, and they found it amusing when Brianna cried in pain, making her feel even worse.

To muffle the sounds, they put clothes in her mouth.

Before tragically losing her life at the hands of those who were supposed to love her the most, Brianna endured horrific maltreatment for 153 days.

The death of Brianna Lopez

On July 18, 2002, Andy went out to buy beer. When he returned home, all three of them started drinking.

Stephanie claims that she had a couple of beers and slept in the same room where Brianna, Andy, and Steven were. 

However, she insists that she never heard anything happening around her.

As the night passed, the two men decided to play a twisted game of “throwing Brianna into the air,” throwing her with such force that she hit the ceiling before falling to the ground.

On July 19, 2002, around 7:15 a.m., Stephanie woke up to the sound of Brianna crying.

Upon noticing bruises on her body, she asked Andy and Steven what had happened. They casually replied that they were “a little too rough” while playing with her the previous night.

Stephanie disregarded Brianna’s cries for help, believing their explanation was sufficient, and continued with her day.

Later that day, Andy s*xually assaulted Briana with his finger during a diaper change.

After nearly 24 hours, Stephanie finally dialed 911 for help, claiming that Briana had fallen from a high chair. 

At 11:10 a.m., Briana was admitted to the hospital but, sadly, was later declared dead.

She was tragically taken from us at the age of just five months, five days. The hospital and the medical staff were shocked by the brutality of her injuries.

At the time of her death, baby Brianna’s body was covered in scrapes, open wounds, and bruises.

She suffered from bleeding in her brain, broken ribs, legs, and arms.  She also faced mutilation to her fingers, v*gina, and an*s, among other injuries. 

The investigation of Baby Brianna’s death

The police investigated the house but found no evidence of Briana’s happiness or any belongings that showed she had experienced love. 

There is no proof that a post-mortem was performed on her. Therefore, it cannot be said whether Brianna Lopez autopsy pictures exist.

Despite knowing about the s*xual abuse her father and uncle inflicted, Briana’s grandparents and other family members ignored it. 

They remained silent, even when they saw the injuries on her body.

Unfortunately, at the time of Briana’s death, the law only allowed a maximum of 18 years in prison for the crime of “intentional child abuse resulting in death.”

The authorities found Stephanie Lopez guilty of reckless child abuse. The court awarded her a prison term of less than 15 years.

Andy and Steven received the highest sentence permitted by law.

Unfortunately, the police let them out of custody after a few years.
