Bruins prospect tiers: Will any development camp players make the NHL in 2023-24?
Mia Horton BRIGHTON, Mass. — The Bruins concluded their annual development camp Friday at Warrior Ice Arena. NHL jobs were not open to win.
“You’re not trying to make a team today,” general manager Don Sweeney said, “but trying to make an impression in where you are year over year.”
That may change in two months.

The 2023-24 Bruins should still be in the playoff chase. David Pastrnak, Charlie McAvoy, Hampus Lindholm and Linus Ullmark, among others, are good enough to pull the Bruins along.
But their supporting cast will be compromised compared to that of the 2022-23 juggernaut. Tyler Bertuzzi, Connor Clifton, Nick Foligno, Garnet Hathaway, Taylor Hall and Dmitry Orlov are gone. Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci could follow.
As such, when some of the prospects return in September for rookie camp and main training camp, they will have opportunities to compete for NHL employment.
The 25 development camp participants who are under NHL contract, drafted or acquired by the Bruins belong to seven categories in terms of possible 2023-24 destinations: Boston, Providence, Europe, college, major junior, USHL and undetermined.
Two prospects, in all likelihood, stand the best chance of making their NHL breakthroughs:
