The photograph, captured in overhead video by CNN affiliate KYW, portrays Cavalcante handcuffed and surrounded by a ring of heavily armed officers. They're proud of their work. I'm not bothered at all by the fact that they took a photograph with him in custody. Again, they're proud of their work. They kept the community safe. Fugitive is stripped down during capture

Aside from the controversial photo, another moment during Cavalcante's capture drew attention. Before being placed into an armored van, officers removed Cavalcante's sweatshirt, revealing a large tattoo on his back. They proceeded to strip him down to his underwear while documenting his body with photos.
