Iker Casillas has attracted attention recently, after following several famous, attractive and single women on social media, including Gerard Pique's ex-partner Shakira.

The former Real Madrid goalkeeper began to follow Shakira after Pique and the famous singer announced that they were breaking up.

This has not gone unnoticed. Fans were aware that he did not previously follow her before the break-up, despite knowing her for years.

The retired footballer's entourage has denied an alleged affair between Shakira and Casillas, with the latter taking to social media to react to those ever-louder rumours.

"Unbelievable... unbelievable," Casillas wrote on an Instagram story.

Iker Casillas' split from Sara Carbonero

News broke last year revealing that Casillas had split up with his partner Sara Carbonero, five years after their wedding in 2016.

The pair had been dating long before that, with the former Spain goalkeeper sharing a famous moment with his journalist girlfriend after winning the 2010 World Cup with La Roja.

She had been at the tournament working as a journalist, and they celebrated the victory together, after the goalkeeper made decisive saves in the final.
