Catrese Alston Peterson – Metropolitan Funeral
Emily Wong On February 1, 2022 our earthly world lost an angel at the age of 48. A native of Norfolk, VA, Catrese, affectionately known as Trese or Weda, was born July 10, 1973, to the union of Brenda E, Felton and Clarence Alston Jr. She attended Granby High School and went on to attend Tidewater Community College where she would get her Associates Degree in Business Administration.
Anyone that came in contact with Catrese understood how much of a sweet, loving, compassionate, and nurturing soul she was. She brightened up the room whenever she entered with her alluring presence and overall kind heart. Catrese loved to refurbish and rebuild furniture in her spare time. Catrese will be remembered for her wonderful spirit, bright smile, flawless skin and deep captivating dimples. She will be forever missed and in our hearts.
Catrese is preceded in death by her grandmothers Elmira E. Alston and Helen Scott. She is survived by her parents Brenda D. Felton and Clarence Alston Jr., and step-father Lonnie R. Felton; three daughters, Lakerah Alston, Embria Peterson, Kayla Peterson and one step-son Robert Peterson Jr. Three sisters, Claressa Sibley, Danyelle Carmon, and Tara Epps, and a special sister, Pepita “Angel” Brown. Three sisters-in-law, Carol Nettles, Olena Peterson, and Betty Daniels; three brothers, Ya’akov Malik Israel, Jamal Felton, Edwards Epps and two brothers-in-law, Larry Peterson, and James Peterson. A host of other relatives and friends.
