Christopher "James" Truax's Men's Soccer Recruiting Profile
William Harris Personal Statement
Hello Coaches,
My name is James Truax, and I aspire to play college soccer, earn my college degree, become a leader in my career field, and be a positive influence in my community. I was born 15 weeks premature and spent 10 weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit. Fortunately I had zero developmental issues, however, the doctors did warn my parents that I would be extremely willful and determined. I see college soccer as a way to play the sport I love while completing my formal education. When I play soccer, I am more empowered, vocal, and confident. The game has taught me social skills and helped me achieve both an outward and inward confidence that I had previously lacked. My willingness to step into any role the team needs, my personal drive, and my vision on the field are all aspects of my game that make me the most proud. The desire I play soccer with is matched when I enter a classroom. I bring the same work ethic, attention to detail, will to achieve, and apply this to all of my academic endeavors. I'm excited to see what the future, both academically and athletically, holds for me.
