There are several potential fixes for the download issue where your COD update gets stuck at 97 or 99%. For one, you should switch from WiFi to Ethernet cable if at all possible. While you’re at it, check whether your internet connection is working properly. If not, reboot your router. Next up, if you’re on PC, try restarting your client, be it Battle.net or Steam. If that doesn’t, restart your PC or your console and see whether that jostles it. Speaking of consoles, another thing that might help is clearing your cache. Completely shut the whole thing down, unplug it from the socket and wait for a couple of minutes. Plug the console back in and turn it back on, then retry the download.

If you’re on Steam, you can go to Settings, then Download, and change your location to the nearest one. For that matter, using a VPN to switch locations might also work, in case your provider is throttling your speed for whatever reason.
