Personal Statement

Dear Coaches, 

     My name is Cody Crawford. I am a 6'1'' 280 lb DT/OL from Natrona County High School in Wyoming. I have a great interest in playing football at the next level. I am an all-state, all-conference player, as well as a leader on my team. I lead offseason workouts and practices. I have great grades in advanced coursework, achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.69. I am highly recommended by all my teachers. I am a three sport athlete playing football in the fall, alpine skiing in the winter, and throwing the shot and discus in the spring. I am undecided on my post high school studies and look forward to exploring and stretching myself in college in whichever field I choose. I consider myself a mature, focused, trustworthy, and thoughtful individual.

     I’m looking for an opportunity to grow as a student athlete, and to whoever gives me this opportunity I pledge to show my gratitude everyday.  I pledge to give my best attitude and effort one hundred percent of the time. I pledge to love my brothers, fighting for, beside, or across from them. I pledge my allegiance to the team I play for and to the family that comes with it. I pledge respect for all those who work with me and coach me. I pledge to be open-minded and willing to listen to instruction. I pledge humility, honesty, and leadership. Finally, I pledge to be the very best I can be to the highest extent every day.

     My goal for life is to love my family, my teammates, and my friends. I want to reach a self-actualized potential, physical and mental, and never stop learning. Football has given me opportunity in every way possible, and my goal is to capitalize however I can. An opportunity to continue learning, loving, and living is one that I won't overlook.
