With three interceptions in the game, all in the second half, Prescott became the perfect scapegoat for the team's fans.

The quarterback finished the game with 14 completions in 24 attempts, 153 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions. Dallas now has a record of three wins and two losses.

Prescott draws the ire of fans

Gone are the days when Prescott was the Cowboys' poster boy. The loss in the Week 5 game amalgamated the fans' anger against the quarterback.

Some think this will be Dak's last year with the team. They hope the owner, Jerry Jones, will soon take action and remove him from the payroll.

Others are calling for an early-season trade to save cap space. Others ask to wait until the 2024 Draft to negotiate with the team that selects the USC Trojans quarterback, Caleb Willams, using Prescott as a trade chip.

Even coach Mike McCarthy was scratched amid the fury against Prescott. There was no shortage of posts asking him to be traded for the troubled Denver Broncos head coach, Sean Peyton.

49ers fans also called for Prescott's departure

Even some San Franciscofans shouted for Prescott to be seated during the game. They asked for the entry of Trey Lance, who had just left the 49s to join the Cowboys.

Lance spent his first two professional seasons with San Francisco and came to Dallas this season in a trade for a fourth-round pick.

Of course, 49ers fans were just trolling the Cowboys since Lance is the team's third quarterback. Prescott's backup is Cooper Rush, who had to come on in the fourth quarter.
