Personal Statement

I am interested in attending a college that will help shape my future allowing me to pursue my academic goals in the Engineering Field. I have a passion for the competitive environment and would love to further pursue my baseball career with a college where we both can mutually benefit. I consider myself a leader and a game changer. I always give coaches, teammates, teachers, and school 110% effort in the classroom, at practices, and games.I am a very quick and versatile athlete with excellent hand-eye coordination, with many years of experience playing multiple baseball positions. I have a very strong knowledge about the game of baseball and my instincts are outstanding. I have played summer baseball for the Arlington A's Baseball Club, based in Arlington Texas since I was in the 7th grade. Coached by a host of former professional and college level baseball players.  I have competed in Premier Baseball events nation wide with teams from the United States and several Foreign Countries. I am playing fall baseball with the DFW BlueJays, coached former MLB player JB Bryant. I also play Varsity baseball for the Maypearl High School Panthers, coached by Brian Bilbrey, where I am a right hand pitcher, All District 1st baseman,and outfielder. Baseball is the sport I love and one day hope to advance to the college ranks and maybe more. When I am not playing baseball I can be found instructing youth baseball players from the City Of Waxahachie, Optimist youth baseball league. I am a selfless, hard-working player who has the ability to lead the team. I am an honor roll student and have been involved in various activities, such as: National Honor Society, Habitat for Humanity, Christmas in April, and Meals on Wheels.
