One of the last singles before the duo’s disbandment in 2010, “Honky Tonk Stomp” gives you an up-tempo beat that will make you dance and sing along. Recorded by Brooks & Dunn, the song was co-written by Ronnie Dunn along with Terry McBride and Bobby Pinson. It was released on August 10, 2009.

To note, it is the duo’s 50th overall single, the second and final single from their greatest hits package #1s… and Then Some. In addition, it features Billy Gibbons, lead singer of the band ZZ Top. Moreover, the music video of the song ranked no. 47 on GAC’s Top 50 Videos of the Year list.

On October 24, 2009, “Honky Tonk Stomp” first penetrated the Billboard Hot 100 peaking at no. 97. Meanwhile, the song reached no. 16 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in the later days of October in the same year.

With its up-tempo beat and an electric guitar played in the background, Dunn calls for a big party out in the country.
