The choreographer, dancer, producer, and instructor’s successful career earned her a well-deserved position to comment on the contestant’s performances. But some fans know little about Mandy Moore.
Who is Mandy Moore on Dancing With The Stars?
Mandy is a choreographer and often steps in as an ABC Dancing With The Stars guest judge. She is known for her work on the reality television series So You Think You Can Dance since season three.
The 47-year-old dance instructor from Missouri, US, is so successful in her craft that she has taken home the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography – and nominated seven times!
She choreographed the film La La Land and has also worked on stage musicals and commercials. She has created dances for the Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Emmy Awards, and Grammy Awards.
Mandy Moore on DWTS confuses fans
Many were expecting American singer Mandy Moore to be the guest judge on DWTS. Some viewers still thought that the choreographer was the same person but just now looks different.
Nope – they just have the same name! When Mandy Moore was announced as the episode’s guest judge, confusion set in, and the lady herself often made jokes about the ongoing scenario.

Mandy choreographed Swift’s tour
Mandy was the lead choreographer on the Eras Tour. After graduating from high school in 1994 to pursue a dance career, she attended the EDGE Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles on a scholarship.
Now an expert at all things Taylor Swift, Mandy has played a huge role in the singer’s career. Swifties remarked on how much the Blank Space singer’s dancing has improved – and it’s thanks to the instructor.
One of Mandy’s most recent projects, following several years of choreographing DWTS’ opening performances, was working on the series, Zoey’s Playlist.
