There has been talking of a bout between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou, but Chael Patrick Sonnen thinks their proposed terms and conditions are ridiculous and that the fight shouldn’t go ahead that way at all.

Francis Ngannou, who recently announced his departure from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), has not spoken much about his future plans, but he has expressed wishes to fight Tyson Fury.

In response to Ngannou’s challenge to a fight, Fury has agreed to do so, but only under certain conditions.

Gypsy King is now preparing for his fight against Oleksandr Usyk, and the two boxers are very near to negotiating a fight contract and date for the bout.

However, Tyson has established certain terms for his fight with Francis such as it has to be in a cage, with 4oz gloves, under Queensbury, and Mike Tyson as the referee.

Former MMA fighter Sonnen has spoken out against the proposed super bout, claiming that it would be ridiculous to compete under such conditions. Chael doesn’t see the point in fighting in a cage with four-ounce gloves.

“Are you guys going to do it or not? If you’re going to do it, why do it in a cage? Why does it with four-once gloves? Why are you calling boxing Queensbury? Why don’t we make this real simple? Tell me that. Because then we’d have to do it. That’s why. We make it complex, so we can get out of doing it.” said Chael in his podcast.

Sonnen is surprised by the idea because both The Predator and the Gipsey King have the ability to win due to the physical strength and fighting prowess they possess, yet neither of them seems to be using their full potential in their fights.

”It was surprising. I don’t want to call it disappointing. It was really close to calling it that, but I don’t want to call it that. So Tyson comes to us with perhaps the dumbest idea in sports history. He knows it is.” Sonnen added.
