Dwight Howard's ex-partner has suggested that the former Los Angeles Lakers center is possibly bicurious as he explores his sexual orientation and identity amidst allegations that the ex-NBA player sexually assaulted a man.

It has also led to his sexual preferences being called into question and on that front, Royce Reed, his ex-girlfriend, seems to believe that he is open to exploring what and who he likes.

"I just think he is a little bit freaky," Reed said to DJ Vlad. "I think he's that whole alphabet [LGBTQ+].

"I don't even want to start it because I don't know all of them, but I think he's curious. I'll leave it at that."

Reed is aware of the implications on the community that linking his assault case and his apparent unwillingness to recognise himself as LGBTQ+ could have on the group, which already faces gross allegations from homophobes due to the personality and expression of some of the members.

"I also think it's a slap in the face to like that community," Reed added. "Because he is claiming to be a certain way but then denying the other side of it.

"I just hope he doesn't try to lean on another community because they think they are going to save him when he's dealing."

Harper and Howard: What happened?

The three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year is said to have attacked a man named Stephen Harper in 2021, with the latter filing a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault, battery, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress

Howard was also said to have involved a third man called "Kitty", which Harper maintains was without the consent of himself and that he didn't want to be involved, before he was assaulted.

The incident was said to have taken place in Georgia in 2021, shortly after the pair spoke on Instagram and agreed to meet up, with Harper travelling to Howard's property.
