Dylan Sumnicht's Baseball Recruiting Profile
Emily Wong Personal Statement
My name is Dylan Sumnicht, and I am a junior (class of 2017) at Shawano Community High School. I began playing baseball as a toddler, spending my afternoons in the backyard swinging the bat and playing catch with my dad. Growing up, I participated in several other sports, but baseball is my passion and focus. Since age 8, I have taken private pitching lessons in the off-season to improve my mechanics, and make myself the best I can be. I also participate in a strength and conditioning program year round.
On the field, I am known for being a team leader, quick thinker, and keeping my cool on the mound. This past season as a sophomore, I was moved up to the Varsity baseball team, where I earned my letter. As a freshman, I played varsity football, where I earned my letter and was named Rookie of the Year.
Not only am I dedicated on the field; I am dedicated in the classroom. I am an Honors Student with a 3.8 GPA, and am ranked 27 of 198 in my class. I am looking for a school where I can achieve my academic goals, while having the ability to grow as a baseball player.
