Erik Danielson's Men's Swimming Recruiting Profile
Emily Wong Personal Statement
I have been in the water all my life, but I started swimming competitively freshman year of high school. I loved it so much that I joined my local club team and enjoy every aspect of the sport.
At school, I strive to do my best and set very high standards for myself. I challenge myself by taking multiple AP classes and have excelled in my academics. Along with a challenging course load, I am involved in multiple extra-curriculars, including Boy Scouts of America, National Honor Society, Student Leaders at my high school, and I work at my local Chick-fil-A. I wish to pursue an education in Marine Science and/or Computer Science.
In the pool, I push myself to the limit every practice. My goal at practice is to leave the pool with a smile on my face knowing that I trained at my best. As the oldest swimmer on my club team, I aim to be a good role model for the younger swimmers and lead by example. I am also a Co-Team Representative for Maryland LSC.
I want to go to a college that challenges me even further, both athletically and academically, and forces me to get out of my comfort zone.
