Personal Statement

              Soccer has impacted my life in a plethora of ways. I have met lifelong friends and benefited from some incredible coaches who have taught me many valuable lessons both on and off the field. I have learned so many skills from soccer such as accountability, teamwork, commitment, and sacrifice. While playing soccer, I have developed a great work ethic and learned to be accountable for myself both on the field and off the field, especially with my schoolwork. I have learned how to be a good teammate and a good sport; I even won the Hamilton Sportsmanship Award my first season at North Carolina Football Club (NCFC). In addition, I believe that I am very coachable and adaptable to play multiple positions. 

                  Although I have been playing soccer since I was three years old, back then I wouldn’t let my mom put me down during the games. Thankfully, I grew out of that and now the only thing I want to do is get out on the field and play! Currently I play for NCFC and Fike High School. Since beginning to play at NCFC, I am required to travel an hour and a half away to get to soccer practice. Doing this has forced me to balance my soccer life, school life, and social life. Consequently, I have to be accountable and prioritize the most important things. I think I have done well with this, and it has made me more focused on the goals that I want to achieve. My biggest goal is to further my education and play soccer at a university. I know that with my immense work ethic and personal accountability, I will achieve my goals.
