David Craig Maura Higgins is telling her “mam” she’s made it as she graces the cover of Maxim magazine looking “flawless.” Fans are blown away by the Love Island star’s beauty while her former co-stars and friends are equally as “stunned” by her magazine shoot.
Love Island series 5 saw Maura rise to reality TV fame after joining the show as a model and grid girl. ITV viewers were only given a teaser of what was to come as the star rose to new heights as a guest host on Love Island USA and Love Island Games. Maura had some iconic moments on the show, but she’s shooting to supermodel levels this February as she graces the cover of Maxim.
Maura Higgins is a Maxim cover girl
It turns out Love Island isn’t just the place for finding lasting romance like some of the reality show’s cast, but it can be the beginning of an epic career.
This February, Maura Higgins, 33, who appeared on series 5 of the show back in 2019, graces the cover of Maxim magazine, and naturally, she appears super excited about it.
Sharing her cover shoot with the world, Maura wrote in the Instagram post’s caption: “MAMMY I JUST COVERED MY FIRST AMERICAN MAGAZINE.”
The Maxim cover was shot by none other than Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip star Kelly Bensimon’s ex-husband, Gilles Bensimon.
Maura follows in supermodel footsteps
Landing the cover of any magazine is epic, but gracing the cover of Maxim is totally iconic given the other celebrities who have also been featured.
Maura, who hails from County Longford in Ireland, follows in the footsteps of Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, Cindy Crawford, and Beyoncé who have also all been Maxim cover girls.
The magazine has also featured The Kardashians within its pages, as well as Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, and Angelina Jolie.

Love Island star’s USA ventures
Following Maura’s Love Island fame, which saw her calling out her co-stars and going down in the show’s history books, she ventured over to the USA.
She came in fourth place alongside Curtis Pritchard during Love Island series 5, but it looks like she’s winning life with her latest magazine shoot.
Maura’s hop across the pond makes perfect sense given she went on to guest host Love Island USA for season 5.
After leaving the Love Island villa, she appeared on UK TV shows such as Celebrity Juice, Dancing on Ice, and Cooking with the Stars.
