Ian Martin
Ian raced his motorbike part-time at the Isle of the Man TT as a private racer. However, to make the ends meet, he opted to sell motorbikes and perform maintenance work for trucks and lorries.
He owned a lorry garage where Guy also worked as an apprentice for a short time before losing his job due to his filming commitments of The Boat that Guy Built.
Guy's father's racing career ended when he crashed his Yamaha FZ750 bike in 1988. Ian was racing in Oliver's Mount, Scarborough at the time of the crash and Guy was just 7 years old. The crash changed Ian's career as a mechanic at classic bike racing from racing after he recovered from his broken hips.
Rita Martin
His mother Rita is of Latvian heritage. Rita's father moved to United Kindom as a political refugee in 1947. Apart from the constant support to her husband and children, Rita has not revealed much about her personal life on the web.

Guy is one among the four children of his parents. Martin has two sisters and a brother.
Stuart Martin

Kate Martin
Guy has a younger sister named Kate. She was the first female mechanic to enter and work at British Superbike Championship (BSB) padlock. However, she quit her job of getting her hands dirty to start a family. Kate is married to the two times Isle of the Man TT sidecar winner Patrick Farrance.
Sally Martin
His other sister runs a pub for Guy. According to Mirror, Guy bought a pub in the village of Kirmington, North Lincolnshire, and handed the helm to his sister Sally after making a ton of renovations and beautification.
Sally is charged with the day-to-day operation of the pub and hosting events while Guy makes occasional appearances at the pub. Some of the events hosted in the pub include starting the Merlin engine, an airplane engine built by Rolls-Royce, once a month. They also plan on hosting motorbike events from the pub.
Furthermore, the pub which has now been heavily customized and renovated will serve drinks and food to its customers. The menu will feature typical pub foods and steaks.
All three of Guy's siblings are established in their respective professions. However, they have not ventured off far from the racing world as the old saying goes the leaves do not fall far from the tree.
