Personal Statement

I have been playing hockey for as long as I can remember.  I grew up in a big hockey family with 5 older brothers and 4 of them playing hockey.  I basically grew up in the ice arena and have grown to love it more and more.  I will be the first one at the arena before practices and games and will be the last person to leave.  I may not be a huge goal scorer and rack up points but I am a solid defenseman that you can always rely on at anytime.  I stay out of the box and will not take stupid penalties.  

In the classroom I can and do maintain a 3.0 GPA and I plan on raising it.  I respect and form good relationships with my teachers.  I do not cause trouble with classmates and maintain a good reputation in school. 

I would like to attend a college that I can grow physically and mentally at.  I want to challenge myself on and off the ice.  Hockey is the biggest thing I look forward to in life even if we are bag skating in practice.  I say this because I cherish every second I am on the ice.  Any day is a good day when you can play Hockey.
