Hernando County Boy Missing: Search Continues For 2-Year-Old

Hernando County deputies are in hot pursuit of little Joshua “JJ” Rowland, a 2-year-old toddler who went missing from his home in the Brooksville area at around 9:45 a.m. this morning.
The search is ongoing, and law enforcement officials are scouring the ground and air around Cheever Road and Yontz Road in northern Brooksville, where the toddler was last seen.
Despite the best efforts of law enforcement officials, JJ remains missing, prompting the authorities to expand their search to the nearby Pasco and Citrus counties.
As the sun sets, the search continues into the night, with deputies and search and rescue teams combing through the vast rural landscape in search of the missing child.
The Sheriff’s Office has described JJ as a toddler with blonde hair and hazel eyes, last seen wearing a gray Batman shirt and dark gray pajama pants with tools on them.
The authorities have also noted that JJ may have a swollen lip, which could help identify him if he is found.
At a press conference at 5 p.m., Sheriff Al Nienhuis said that they had no indication that JJ had been abducted or had wandered off.
The Sheriff’s office believes that JJ left his home while his parent was asleep at around 9:45 a.m. this morning.
