We are deeply saddened to report on the sudden passing of Ignacio “Nacho” Mascolo, a gifted athlete from Rye, NY. Known for his exceptional prowess in both rugby and tennis, Nacho’s untimely departure has left our community in mourning.

A graduate of the Class of 2017, Nacho was a flyhalf for the Bombers. His agility, strategic vision, and spirited performance on the rugby field were nothing short of remarkable. However, it wasn’t just his physical skills that set Nacho apart; it was his unwavering dedication to the sport and his teammates.

Nacho was also an accomplished tennis player. As the Head Coach of JV Tennis at the School of The Holy Child, he was known for his ability to inspire and mentor young athletes. His love for the game was contagious, inspiring many of his students to pursue their own sporting dreams.

Beyond his athletic achievements, Nacho was a scholar, having majored in Business Management. His diverse talents and interests were a testament to his ambition and drive, both on and off the field.

Nacho’s wake is scheduled for this Monday from 2-5pm at Graham Funeral Home located at 1036 Boston Post Rd, Rye, NY 10580. As we mourn his loss, our thoughts are with the Mascolo family and Nacho’s large circle of friends and loved ones during this difficult time.
