Isaiah Sanchez's Football Recruiting Profile
Michael King Personal Statement
Since I was a week old football was embedded in me through my grandmother's prayers. I was born with seizers and my brain was not fully developed. The doctors told my mom that I was never going to be a normal little boy. I was never going to swing a bat or hit a ball and that I was never going to be able to run. While my mom was listening to the doctors and was crying my grandmother was praying for me to be healed and that my life would be a testimony and I would serve God all my life.
I began to play football at age 10. This was when my mom was able to afford it and this is when my step-dad came into the picture. He went to every practice and every game. This is when I was told I had a gift for football. My first game was an emotional game for my mom and my grandmother becuase they remember the prayer my grandmother prayed 10yrs before that day. The moment I ran onto that field my mom became my biggest fan.
I am a Christian and my faith in Jesus is a big deal to me. I am not perfect and I make mistakes, but my life belongs to the one who created me and the one who healed me and let me become a football player. I have a gift of writing music and rapping which I had no idea I could do until I couldn't play football for 2yrs because there were no teams to play on. I began to write music and rap christian music. It was a suprise to me and my family. I can pick up a music intrusment and learn it in days. My first love is Christ of course, but my dream is to play college ball. I;ve been trying to pick up my GPA and studying for my SAT'S. My desire is to play football, but if that doesn't work out for me I will be joining the Army in the Special Forces Unit.
My mom and dad searched high and low for teams that I could play on and finally found an adult semi-pro league called the Texas Tomahawks. I've been playing there for a couple of months. On February 2, 2012 I will have the privlege to play in Cowboy Stadium. I am very excited! I mean, how many young men can say they have played in Cowboy Stadium? After February 2. I can say I did.
I am hoping and praying that I can fulfil my dreams and goals to play college ball and if I make it to the NFL that will be a bonus.
