Ivan Pictet is the senior managing partner of one of Switzerland's biggest private banks, Pictet & Cie.

Senior managing partner of Swiss bank Pictet & Cie, Ivan Pictet talks to CNN's Andrew Stevens.

Mr. Pictet joined the company in 1972 and has operated as head of the research department and strategy committee since then.

He became a general partner in 1982 and today he holds the post of senior managing partner, with responsibility for general strategy matters, which effectively means he is at the head of the company.

Currently Mr. Pictet also operates as President of the Geneva Financial Center and a member of the investments committee of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund.

Prior to this he was President of the Geneva Private Bankers Association, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Geneva and the Foundation for Geneva. E-mail to a friend
