Ja Morant, point guard and star of the Memphis Grizzlies, has the NBA worried after posting several cryptic messages on his Instagram stories.

This comes days after he was once again in the spotlight for going on social media with a gun.

Along with the photos you can see dedications to his mother, family, children... and a final one in which he says "goodbye". Shortly afterwards he deleted all these photos.

In the morning in the United States, Morant uploaded these posts. In them he says: "love ya ma". "love ya pops. "You da greatest babygirl. love you". And a final one with "bye".

Minutes later, and as soon as it spread like wildfire across social media, he decided to delete the posts.

Morant is once again in the midst of controversy. During the regular season, the superstar was caught with a gun in a Colorado store and was suspended for eight games, costing him more than half a million dollars in salary and spent time in a Florida clinic.

He came back and delivered in a big Playoffs performance against the Los Angeles Lakers.

A few months later, he was back in the spotlight when he reoffended on Instagram Live by appearing with another gun.

The Memphis Grizzlies acted accordingly by deciding to remove him from participation and the NBA took matters into its own hands by opening an investigation.

"We're in shock," confessed Adam Silver, the league's commissioner.

The NBA is still investigating the incident, while Nike halted the line of the point guard's shoes, released during the last regular season.

"This is a journey and I recognise there is more work to be done. My words may not mean much right now but I take full responsibility for my actions. I'm committed to keep working on myself," the point guard confessed after the second incident.
