Jack Carr children with his partner Faith Carr are a handful trio. Carr once mentioned that his second child has a rare congenital genetic deficiency. 

The True Believer author's middle son has a mutation of the NR2F1 gene, a gene that helps to form the human brain.

It manifests itself as a global development disability which means the child needs full-time care for life. Carr describes that raising his child with special needs is the toughest thing he has ever done.

NR2F1 is a rare genetic disorder that requires him to have around-the-clock care. The former military man provided his child with the necessary diagnosis with the help of a mutual SEAL friend, Ross Perot.

The severe special needs of his child made him relocate to Park City in Utah so that his family can stay close to the National Ability Center. In there, the experts work with individuals of all kinds of disabilities to help them reach their full potential.

In order to maintain their privacy, the famed actor Jack has kept the names of his offspring under the wrap.

His other two kids are well and healthy
