Jackson Mahomes, younger brother of NFL player Patrick Mahomes, was arrested on Wednesday for an alleged incident of aggravated sexual battery at a restaurant in Kansas in February.

Jail records show that Mahomes was booked into Johnson County Jail at 7:42 am and held on a $100,000 bond.

He was later arraigned in court on Wednesday afternoon and was released after posting bond. 

The court has scheduled his next hearing for May 11, and as per the conditions of his bond, he is not permitted to discuss the case publicly. 

Mahomes was investigated in February for allegedly assaulting a waiter and kissing the female owner of an Overland Park restaurant without her consent. 

Aspen Vaughn, the owner of the restaurant, claimed that Mahomes forcefully kissed her at least twice and grabbed her by the throat, leaving a bruise on her neck. 

Jackson’s attorney, Brandan Joseph Davies, has released a statement saying that there is “substantial evidence refuting the claims of Jackson’s accuser.”

The Kansas City Chiefs declined to comment on the matter, stating that it was a personal issue involving a relative of a player but not a member of the organization.
