Jacob Moehlenkamp's Men's Soccer Recruiting Profile
Mia Lopez Personal Statement
I am currently a class of 2021 player from Newburgh, Indiana. I currently have a 3.8 G.PA, while taking honors classes. My academic goals include: 1) to obtain a degree in a pre-medical discipline with a minor in Spanish; 2) graduate from college in 4 years; and 3) gain acceptance into medical school where I plan to pursue an education that prepares me to be a neurosurgeon.
I see myself as a versatile soccer player that can play any position on the field. For my club team (Indiana Fire Juniors South '03 Boys), I play attacking midfielder and outside back while for my high school team (Castle High School), I played attacking midfielder and forward. Although these positions are different on the field, I think they have allowed me to develop all aspects of the game. One of my strengths as an outside back is my ability to go forward and get into the attacking third; this has been enhanced by my play as a forward and central midfielder where I have developed an increased confidence on the ball. My ideal position would be to play as an outside back in a system that encourages them to be heavily involved in the attacking third.
As demonstrated above, I exemplify what it means to be a team player as I am willing to play where the coach feels I can be the most help for the betterment of the team. I feel that I am extremely coachable, outgoing, respectful, determined, and a fast learner.
In conclusion, I am an academically focused, goal-driven individual that would be a great teammate and asset to a college team in the future. It is my ultimate goal to obtain a degree while playing collegiate soccer.
