Fans have not held back in making their frustrations known to the Philadelphia Eagles following a 33-13 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, calling the performance "embarrassing" and labelling them "frauds".

It's a second defeat in a row for the Eagles and their star quarterback, Jalen Hurts, following a December 3 defeat to the San Francisco 49ers. The two losses have seen them not only lose the lead of the NFC Conference, but also their own sub-division as the Cowboys leapfrogged them.

They've also scored below 20 points for the second week in a row, exposing the fact that their defense has leaked points for the entire campaign. Now the losses are rolling in as the offense doesn't seem to be able to bail them out at the moment.

The games against the 49ers and Cowboys have allowed both to catch the Eagles in the NFC Conference, of which the winner earns a bye to the next round of the postseason. More worrying, the combined score for those games reads 75-32 showing they've been completely outclassed.

As a result, fans vented their frustrations online taking to Twitter, now known as X.com, to send a message.

One user wrote: "That is the most embarrassing Eagles loss I've witnessed in a long time. Absolutely pathetic performance from the coaches and all 53 players."

Whilst another added: "Jalen Hurts on major fraud alert".

A third commented: "I hope this @Eagles offense wakes up next game cause this defense isn't winning them any games.. three fumbles in field goal range is the difference tonight between having a shot at the end to being embarrassed a second week in a row!!!"

And another said: "I don't want to see anybody on the Eagles smiling in any form of social media content for the next week. Getting smacked in the fucking mouth by the 49ers/Cowboys back to back is disgraceful and this team needs a gut check bad. Goals are still in reach though. #FlyEaglesFly".

In the two matchups against the teams now joining the Eagles at the top of the NFC, Hurts has completed 61% of passes (44) for 495 yards, but only for one passing touchdown. He's also only added one rushing touchdown and rushed for 50 yards.

His volume numbers are consistent with his season average but worryingly there is a lack of potency at the end of it as evidenced by two touchdowns in two games.
