Jasmine Cephas Jones parents are jazz singer Kim Lesley and actor Ron Cephas Jones.

Her father Ron has appeared in numerous films and television shows. Similarly, her mother Kim has been in the industry for over four decades; she has toured and recorded with several artists and her band.

Jones is well known for appearing as William Hill in the television series This Is Us. For his incredible performance in the show, he received nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award in 2018 and won Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series in 2020.

Ron got his first lead role in 1994 in the Tazewell Thompson production of Holiday Heart. He has showcased his acting talent in films such as He Got Games, Half Nelson, Across the Universe, and The Holiday Calendar.

Likewise, Cephas has appeared in recurring roles as Leander Scoville in Truth Be Told and Bobby Fish in Luke Cage. His other notable television credits include Law & Order: Organized Crime, Better Things, The Get Down, and Looking for Alaska.

During his college days, Jones intended to study jazz under Arnold Jones. But after getting the lead role in the play Cinderella Ever After, he decided to change his major to theater.

Jones celebrates his birthday on January 8, and he is 65 years old.

Mother Kim Lesley Is A Jazz Singer

Kim has been singing since she was 13 years old. Jasmine's mother currently works as a musician at Ananda Ashram-Yoga Society of New York Inc.; she has been associated with the ashram for 29 years.

Besides her career as a singer, Lesley is a real estate salesperson at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Green Team. Previously, she worked at Century 21 Realty Center for three years.

Kim has also served as a minister at ACI Rehab and OPT. She has been giving vocal lessons for 45 years and private spiritual counseling for 25 years.
